BIMcollab ecosystem offers great flexibility for all users
What if it were possible to maintain technological developments in the construction world for 37 years? We’re talking avant-garde! That is the case with our client: Archi Graphique. With expertise in both BIM and architecture, this agency helps different players in a project implement quality digital solutions. So we are very proud that they have chosen to use the BIMcollab ecosystem and recommend it to their clients.
The importance of interoperability
Meet Dominique Payelleville, BIM Manager & Facilitator at Archi Graphique. A pioneer in this sector, he was part of the first class to graduate with the master’s degree in BIM launched by ENPC ParisTech and ESTP in Paris. He confided in us how he was often confronted with this notion of interoperability, which is essential in construction projects. So he very quickly implemented data exchange via IFC, BCF, etc. And this is one of the reasons why he started working with the BIMcollab environment several years ago. He talks about his experience starting with his first impressions:
“What I appreciate about BIMcollab is its intuitive interface with great flexibility, whether the user is experienced or a beginner!”
Dominique Payelleville, BIM Manager & Facilitator at Archi Graphique.
Based on his experience with different software, he explains how “putting rules into practice can be quite tedious” when using certain solutions. He then contrasts this with the opportunity to “implement rules on BIMcollab ZOOM in a more intuitive way.”

Great benefit for decision-makers
Dominique Payelleville then gives us the example of one of his clients operating in the context of property development. It is important to him to alert property developers to the use of digital models produced by project management teams. Particularly in their case, as the designs progress it is vital to be able to monitor the surface areas and the positioning of the commercial, apartment, parking, office and communal zones of a project.
With BIMcollab ZOOM, he then uses this information when creating lists, thus allowing the positioning of different apartment types (or zones) along with their distribution ratios to be visualised directly on the model. He specifies that “the active visual part of the lists is super beneficial for decision-makers who are not experts in BIM. ”
Along with extraction of information, one of the favourite features of Archi Graphique is the option to generate smart views to monitor the model and the information that is incorporated in it.
We want to thank Dominique Payelleville for sharing his experience with us. It’s always a pleasure to see our clients benefiting from the BIMcollab ecosystem like this. After all, our ultimate aim is to help all participants in a construction project to communicate better with each other and to have quality models!
