Pontsteiger is a grand, elegant and iconic building that rises in the harbour of Amsterdam. With a rich industrial history the site will be developed into a sustainable area within the next few years. The construction companies Dura Vermeer and De Nijs joint forces in the development and construction of this apartment complex. The design is by Arons & Gelauff architects and DPA Cauberg-Huygen is involved as the building physics advisor.

"Without BIMcollab we couldn't have managed
all the issues in the design phase"

We immediately recognized the value of this tool

Lex Ransijn, BIM manager at Construction company De Nijs: "Pontsteiger was the first project we used BIMcollab on. And we immediately recognized the value of this tool. Construction projects of this size have an enormous amount of issues to handle. BIMcollab gives you a clear overview and makes the process of solving them more efficient. Issues can be filtered by status (active, resolved, closed), team members responsible, milestones and much more.

Especially in this digital era, where you can easily produce data, it is important to keep an overview. With BIMcollab you keep track of the progress of your project in an online environment, without having access to the actual model. This enables (BIM) managers to make design-related decisions based on the information within BIMcollab. This keeps our workflow going."
