Explore the example project

Give it a try and access the example project to see how you can add issues or change the statuses, regardless the used platform. All you need to do is follow these steps:

Using the web application

Step 1: In your web browser navigate to join.bimcollab.com.
Step 2: Log in using your credentials.
Step 3: Click on the BIMcollab Example project.
Step 4: Click on the ‘Issues’ page.

You can now click on any issue to see it’s details.


Using BIMcollab ZOOM

Step 1: Download and install BIMcollab ZOOM from here.
Step 2: Open the ‘BIMcollab Example Project’ .bcp file.*
Step 3: Click on the ‘Connect’ button.
Step 4: Enter join.bimcollab.com (as your space) as well as your credentials and connect.
Step 5: Select the ‘BIMcollab Example project”.

You will be brought to the ‘Issues’ panel. Here you can now click on any issue to see it’s details or double click on it to zoom to the issue in the 3D Model.






* BIMcollab ZOOM will initially default to the folder containing the sample project. If not then you can find the sample project on Windows in the public documents folder and on MacOS in the BIMcollab ZOOM application folder.

Using Navisworks:

Step 1: Download the example IFC files here.
Step 2: Download the BCF Manager for Navisworks here and install.
Step 3: Start Navisworks and append all of the IFC files to a new Navisworks model.
Step 4: In the menu go to ‘BIMcollab > BCF Manager’.
Step 5: In the BCF Manager click on the ‘Connect’ button.
Step 6: Enter join.bimcollab.com (as your space) as well as your credentials and connect.
Step 7: Select the ‘BIMcollab Example project”.

You can now click on any issue in the BCF Manager to see it’s details or double click on it to zoom to the issue in the 3D Model.

Using Solibri Model Checker

Step 1: Download the example IFC files here.
Step 2: Add all of the IFC files to a new Solibri model.
Step 3: Install the BCF Connector from the Solibri Solution Center.
Step 4: Go to Settings > BCF Connector and add join.bimcollab.com as a space.
Step 5: Go to the ‘Communication’ page.
Step 6: Select ‘New Presentation > From BCF Server’.
Step 7: Select ‘join’ as your server and ‘BIMcollab Example project’ as your project.

You can now click on any slide in the presentation to see it’s details as well as the view in 3D.

Using Revit

Step 1: Download the example Revit model here.
Step 2: Download the BCF Manager for Revit here and install.
Step 3: Start Revit and open the example model downloaded in step 1.
Step 4: In the menu go to ‘BIMcollab > BCF Manager’.
Step 5: In the BCF Manager click on the ‘Connect’ button.
Step 6: Enter join.bimcollab.com (as your space) as well as your credentials and connect.
Step 7: Select the ‘BIMcollab Example project”.

You can now click on any issue in the BCF Manager to see it’s details or double click on it to zoom to the issue in the 3D Model.
