Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change my subscription or the billing-payment method?

Yes. Changes to the billing information and payment method can be made at any time manually via the administrator dashboard of the space. You can find more information here.

Can I cancel my BIMcollab Cloud subscription at any time?

You can choose for monthly payment which allows to cancel your subscription every month. When you choose for yearly payments you get 15% discount. Yearly payments can be cancelled per year on one month’s notice per the renewal date.
 

How many projects can I set up in my BIMcollab Cloud?

Unlimited, BIMcollab is built on user- based business model. Number of users and which plan you are using defines how extensive you can collaborate. Do note that one user can be active in an unlimited amount of projects. Hereby the use of BIMcollab can become even more affordable than you in the first-place thought.
 

How secure is BIMcollab?

Our servers are located in the data center of Interconnect (www.interconnect.nl) with colocation in the cities Eindhoven and ’s-Hertogenbosch, both in the south of the Netherlands (Tier 3++) with 99,9% uptime guaranteed. Read more about the Security & Datahosting here

 

Is the free BIMcollab Account really free?

Yes, it will allow you to properly test the workflow and benefits of professional issue management. However JOIN.bimcollab.com comes with some limitations.

What payment options are available?

We offer both yearly and monthly subscription plans, the invoice will be send by email and we offer the following payment options: Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, iDEAL and PayPal.

What is counted as a user?

You can create an unlimited number of users, but only the users set as active can login and are counted. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan any time via the dashboard in your space.

How fast can I start on my space?

When you purchase a private space it is a matter of a few European office hours to get you up and running.

Who do you invoice?

You are fully in control who gets access to your projects and your space.

BIMcollab on-premise version

What is the BIMcollab on-premise version?

The on-premise version is a special version of BIMcollab Cloud we can install with your help on one of your servers. It allows you to have full control of data security, but also up-time and back-ups. While the cloud-based version is very cost-efficient since we take care of all that.

When do you choose for on-premise?

Although our data center and data security complies to the highest standards, it might be needed for some projects that the data is hosted in a specific country or on privately owned servers. In that case the on-premise version offers a good solution.
