Meet Dominique Payelleville, BIM Manager & Facilitator at Archi Graphique. A pioneer in this sector, he was part of the first class to graduate with the master’s degree in BIM launched by ENPC ParisTech and ESTP in Paris. He confided in us how he was often confronted with this notion of interoperability, which is essential in construction projects. So he very quickly implemented data exchange via IFC, BCF, etc. And this is one of the reasons why he started working with the BIMcollab environment several years ago. Great benefit for decision-makers
Dominique Payelleville then gives us the example of one of his clients operating in the context of property development. It is important to him to alert property developers to the use of digital models produced by project management teams. Particularly in their case, as the designs progress it is vital to be able to monitor the surface areas and the positioning of the commercial, apartment, parking, office and communal zones of a project.
With BIMcollab Zoom, he then uses this information when creating lists, thus allowing the positioning of different apartment types (or zones) along with their distribution ratios to be visualised directly on the model. He specifies that “the active visual part of the lists is super beneficial for decision-makers who are not experts in BIM. ”
Along with extraction of information, one of the favourite features of Archi Graphique is the option to generate smart views to monitor the model and the information that is incorporated in it.
