New version BIMcollab integrates with BIM360
The new BIMcollab of this summer is the start of a new direction. After integrating with many BIM authoring and model checker tools, the development is shifted towards joining forces with CDE platforms. The first one available is the integration with BIM360 (July 6th) and more to follow.
Erik Pijnenburg CEO BIMcollab: “With this new direction we aim to integrate BIMcollab with document- and/or project management systems. The combination of BIMcollab and BIM360 brings powerful issue management in the context of browser based model viewing.”
Connecting BIM teams
The Autodesk BIM360 integration provides BIM teams access to models stored in BIM 360 Docs, directly from the BIMcollab web application. Team members can review the federated model, create issues or review existing issues without the need for uploading files to a secondary repository or installing a model viewer.
Using the new integration is simple: a new tab-page appears in BIMcollab. Here you can find the 3D model next to lists of issues, so you can immediately start managing them. Issues can be looked up or created in the context of the 3D model, wherever you work. They can be retrieved, resolved, created and commented on. Assigning or notifying others to approve or follow up is done via the cloud in seconds.
About BIMcollab
BIMcollab is an issue management system for BIM in the cloud and bridges the gap between BIM applications by offering a broad set of add-ons for all popular BIM tools. Part of its powerful ecosystem is BIMcollab Zoom, world’s fastest model viewer to find information flaws, communicate issues and verify solutions. Connecting BIM-teams via the BIMcollab cloud means dramatically reducing time spend on communication about issues and helping to improve model quality: less construction errors, lower costs.
