BIMcollab brings various groups of designers, users and clients on the same page again, enabling them to truly work together and achieve success, fast. Before and within vrame we (Marc and Jens) worked on numerous BIM projects, but we didn’t have a thorough issue management process. Identifying and resolving issues in the design and construction phase was always an intense period of producing loads of e-mails, revision clouds and phone calls; a diffuse and inefficient process.

When I started working as an architect, I always wondered how architects used to work before CAD software existed. Now our new employees ask me: How did you manage without an issue management platform? Speaking is Diogo Bastos, BIM Manager at Archipel Generalplanung. ''In a BIM project with more than 10 different disciplines, more than 5 different authoring software tools and around 200 IFC models, efficient communication is the key to success. Thats why we chose for BIMcollab.''

BIMcollab turned out to be an excellent tool for managing the issue management workflow. It helped us to centralize, filter, and thus to easily focus. It helped us to keep the speed in the project. Dutch software company AFAS is building a new head office: the AFAS Experience Centre will be 44,000 square meters. The new headquarters contains 750 workstations, a private theatre, a restaurant with 700 places and an atrium for events and exhibitions.
Our first focus was on the Stand Alone BCF Manager and we used our IBPM-Platform to exchange BCF files. But we soon discovered BIMcollab and the BCF Managers for Revit. That was the real 'Aha! moment'. CDPP-Project is the very first BIM-Project for BLB NRW With the CDPP-project, modern research rooms are being built on a leasable area of around 6,400 square meters.
As a collaboration platform for the exchange and coordination of issues, BIMcollab was fundamental for us in the transition to BIM. The live connection between Solibri and BIMcollab was crucial in the decision-making process. Meinhard von Gerkan, Volkwin Marg and their partners have planned and constructed buildings in most major German cities since 1965. They have designed small scale homes, hotels, theaters, office buildings, commercial centers and hospitals as well as educational and sports facilities and master plans.
